Tegen een zwarte achtergrond komt hij in de verzadigde kleuren goed tot uitdrukking. Op deze prent speelt hij niet op zijn gebruikelijke Fender Telecaster, maar op een satin vintage natural Gibson ES 335. Dat was tijdens het Desert Trip concert in 2016. In een eerder interview vertelde hij dat ‘deze Gibson te waardevol is om op het podium te gebruiken’. Kennelijk durft hij het hier wel 🙂
Ik ben een beetje fan van The Rolling Stones. Het gemak waarmee Keith gitaar speelt en een vette rock-‘n-roll sound produceert, vind ik geweldig. Ik leerde van hem de open chord – techniek. Dat klinkt erg vet en ‘totaal’ waarbij je gelijktijdig rythm én solo kunt spelen!
